Video: Akufo-Addo Receives COVID-19 Vaccine Live on TV

The President of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has publicly received the COVID-19 vaccine.

He got vaccinated at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service at the 37 Military Hospital.

He took the vaccine together with his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo and some important dignitaries.

Before getting vaccinated, he announced on his social media handle that he will be taking the vaccine. He made the announcement with the words;

“I will take the vaccine this morning at the 37 Military Hospital. #TheVaccineIsSafe #IWillTakeTheVaccine”

The ceremony was telecast live on the nation’s station, GTV and other Ghanaian stations. It was also live on the social media handle of the Ministry of Information.

The president receiving the vaccine means the mass vaccination of Ghanaians against the deadly COVID-19 disease has commenced.
