Video: Chaos as NDC MPs storm Parliament to occupy ‘Majority side’

Members of Parliament on the side of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took over seats designated for their colleagues from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) while they were preparing to dissolve the 7th parliament to make way for the 8th parliament Wednesday January 6 Midnight.
It was reported earlier by Tv3’s that the NDC MPs who were all wearing white garments believed that they form the majority ahead of the 8th Parliament hence, their decision to occupy the seats belonging to the NPP side.
The Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu looked very poised and focused that that is where they belong to, Komla further reported.
The NPP MPs following this development decided to sit on the left side of the Speaker where usually the minorty sits.
The leadership of the House will be going into a crunch meeting to determine the way forward, TV3 gathered.
Regarding speculations that Member of Parliament-elect for Adansi Asokwa K T Hammond was out of the country hence will not be sworn in, Komla Klutse reported that he was present in the House.
