Russia-Ukraine War: Ukraine President Zelensky Introduces Free VISA For Foreigners Except Russian 'Citizens'

Ukraine’s chairman has inked a decree temporarily lifting the demand for entry visas for any outsider willing to join Ukraine’s International Defence Legion and fight on Ukraine’s side against overrunning Russian colors.

President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decree took effect on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and will remain in effect as long as martial law is in place.

The move came after the first round of addresses aimed at stopping the fighting between Ukraine and Russia ended Monday with no agreement except to keep talking.

Ukraine’s embattled chairman said stepped-up shelling across his country was aimed at forcing him into concessions.

He didn’t offer details of the hours-long addresses that took place before but said that Kyiv wasn’t prepared to make concessions “ when one side is hitting each other with rocket ordnance.”

“I believe Russia is trying to put pressure [on Ukraine] with this simple method,” Zelensky said late Monday in a video address.

He did not offer details of the hours-long talks that took place earlier but said that Kyiv was not prepared to make concessions “when one side is hitting each other with rocket artillery.”

Five days into Russia’s irruption, the Kremlin again raised the spectre of nuclear war, while an decreasingly insulated Moscow ran into suddenly fierce resistance on the ground and profitable annihilation at home.
