FDA Hosts Eastern Region's Nine Lessons And Carols Festival

In honor of the Nine Lessons and Carols celebration in 2022, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expressed gratitude to the public, employees, and stakeholders for their support of its service delivery.

The FDA’s Eastern Regional Acting Head, Madam Anita Owusu-Kuffour, lauded the office’s smooth operation as a result of enhanced communication and service-level agreements with stakeholders and clients.

She also commended the staff for their quick and effective responses to client inquiries in the Eastern Region.

Nine biblical readings that detailed the Christmas story were included in the Nine Lessons and Carols liturgy, with one or two carols inserted between each reading.

The Regional Acting Head urged the general public to exercise caution when acquiring consumer goods that are intended to be consumed by or used on human beings, saying that consumers should check expiration dates and physical integrity before making a purchase.

She said that the office often convenes to instruct the public on matters such as food safety, healthy hygiene habits, company licensing, and other subjects.

Moreover, she also iterated that because the FDA wants to promote good health, it performs pre- and post-market surveillance in the area to find unwholesome and non-conforming products for safe disposal.

Meanwhile, the birth of Jesus Christ was acted out by FDA employees as part of the celebration of Nine Lessons and Carols.
