Domelevo finally reacts after President Akufo-Addo’s 21-page letter to CSOs

Former Auditor-General Daniel Yaw Domelevo has apparently reacted to a lengthy open letter from the Presidency, reacting to criticism from Civil Society Organizations(CSOs) following his( Mr Domelevo’s) forced retirement earlier.
In the letter, signed by Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante, the President explains circumstances leading to the forced retirement of the former Auditor-General, stressing that his was not targeted and nothing illegal was done.
The letter alleged among others that Mr Domelevo was appointed by former President John Mahama, to saddle the Presidency of President Akufo-Addo and not to fight against corruption. The letter insisted that Mr Domelevo made false declarations about his personal data and could be liable for prosecution.
But less than 24 hours after the letter, Mr Domelevo wrote “ludicrous” on his Facebook page. This has been seen as a reaction to the President’s lengthy letter.
Notwithstanding, Mr Domelevo is yet to formally react to the letter addressing the concerns of the CSOs.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has in an open 21-page letter addressed the concerns of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on the forced retirement of Auditor General Daniel Yaw Domelevo.
The President debunked conclusions by the CSOs that Mr Domelevo was hounded out because of his anti-corruption drive, especially his issuance of surcharges and disallowances, stressing that the President retired him lawfully after having worked closely with him in his fight against corruption.
The letter then singled out Prof Gyimah-Boadi for criticism following his recent pronouncements on President Akufo-Addo’s credibility on anti-corruption, insisting that the President’s credibility on anti-corruption is “unmatched” and that peerlessness cannot be changed by misconceived opinions.
