(Video) Kennedy Agyapong Blames Jerry John Rawlings For Making ‘Ghanaians Lazy’

The feud between New Patriotic Party (NPP’s) Kennedy Agyapong and Former President Jerry John Rawlings seems unending as the former has taken another swipe against the former Head of State.

Known for speaking without mincing words, the firebrand Member of Parliament for Assin Central is of the view that the lazy nature of Ghanaians is caused by former President Rawlings.

According to him, when JJ came into power, he collapsed successful businesses in the country by sacking the founders or owners, allowing the ordinary workers who know next to nothing to take charge. Meanwhile, they don’t have the knowledge required to run the business.

Speaking in an interview on YFM today, he said; ”So when it is handed over to them overnight, within two/three years, everything collapsed. Rawlings created the impression that the owners of the businesses were cheating the workers and they took over”

He continued, ”he indoctrinated Ghanaians to the extent that everything was the government, the government so you see today, most of our people have become beggars and always depending on government for everything. That is the remote cause of what we are experiencing today. Everybody thinks the government has to do everything”

Anybody who depends on government will never succeed in life so the small the government has will have to be shared with everybody, how much do you think each person can get?”, he quizzed.
