#VGMA20: Lord Kenya tips Diana Hamilton to win big

Former hiplife star now Evangelist Lord Kenya, has tipped gospel musician, Diana Antwi Hamilton, to win big at this year’s Ghana Music Award.

His comment comes on the back of a social media campaign for Hamilton to win at least three out of the four categories she has been nominated.

The UK-based nurse is vying to win Gospel Song of the Year with song title ‘Mo ne yo’, Female Vocalist of the Year with song title ‘Lord of Host’, Album of Year with album ‘I Believe’ and Gospel Artiste of the Year.

It will be her first time winning a Ghana Music Award if she picks one this year.

The former award-winning hiplife heavy weight who has been born again for about a decade told 3FM, the Church of Pentecost gospel sensation has worked very hard under the year of review.

“I think this year she was all over the place,” Kenya told host Giovani Caleb.

Kenya won Artiste of the Year, Hiplife Artiste of the Year, and Hiplife Album of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards 2001, and Best Ghanaian Rap Music Award at the Anansekrom Festival in Canada 2000 among others.
