Qwame Stika Breaks Silence on Yahitti Controversy: “I Allowed King Paluta to Release it out of Loyalty”

Fast-rising music act Qwame Stika has finally addressed the controversy surrounding the hit song Yahitti, originally released by fellow artist King Paluta. In a candid and emotionally charged interview on Top 103.1 FM Showbiz with host Londona Niee, Stika revealed that he gave Paluta the green light to release the song out of loyalty and mutual respect.
“I allowed King Paluta to release Yahitti out of loyalty,” Stika said. “But he broke that bond when he featured Kuami Eugene on the remix without my consent.”
According to Stika, the original track was a collaborative effort, and any significant decisions regarding its direction—including remixes—should have involved both parties. He expressed deep disappointment that such a pivotal move, involving a high-profile artist like Kuami Eugene, was made without his knowledge or input.
“This wasn’t just a song—it was a shared vision,” he added. “For him to go ahead and make such a big change without even informing me, let alone asking for my input, feels like a betrayal.”
The revelation has sparked intense debate among fans and industry insiders alike. Many are calling for clearer agreements and communication in collaborative projects, particularly among emerging artists in Ghana’s vibrant but often informal music scene.
As tensions mount, it remains uncertain whether the two artists will reconcile or if this marks the end of their creative partnership.
