I Didn’t Take Even One Cedi For The Songs I Wrote For MzVee She Should Be Appreciative

Ghanaian Afrobeats singer, Kuami Eugene has said his former record label teammate at Lynx Entertainment, MzVee has failed to appreciate him for immersive support towards her hit songs.

The Open Gate hitmaker hinted that he is the ghostwriter behind some of MzVee’s hit songs.

About two years ago, MzVee parted ways with Lynx Entertainment record label, and it was widely rumoured that there’s a rivalry between her and Kuami Eugene.

Following that, it now appears the widely speculated rumours are true and has come to light.

Recently, MzVee told Zionfelix in an interview that it is disrespect to compare her to the Angela crooner because Kuami Eugene has been spoon-fed.

She said she has had to work hard all by herself to push her music career forward.

After this, Kuami Eugene also in an interview has labeled the Songstress as ungrateful singer.

“I thought she is saying it would be a disrespect to compare because she started this thing way before I started, that’s right. And so, if you compare MzVee to me in that way, it is disrespectful. So I wish people won’t compare how big she is or how big I am.

“But then again, if she says it’s disrespectful because she had everything on her own aaa… I wrote most of her songs, so I don’t think it is disrespectful. I wrote ‘Come and See My Mother’. I wrote ‘Daavi’. I wrote ‘I don’t Know’. So she really doesn’t do everything for herself.”

According to Kuami Eugene, he did not charge MzVee for any of his services. He also explained that he is not asking her to feel indebted to him, but showing a little gratitude would go a long way.

“I mean, I have helped. So I am just hoping she appreciates that rather than making it look like I have never done anything for her. Because I didn’t take even a cedi for everything I did for her.

“She played a part in my life. I won’t sit here and make it look like she never did anything for me. She played a part in my life. But again, we shouldn’t forget the fact that I also played a small part in her life. So I wouldn’t wish that she forgets,” he concluded.
