Ghana Records Over 9,000 Unwanted Pregnancies Due To The 3 Weeks Partial Lockdown – Population Council Reveals

A preposterous 9,000 plus unwanted pregnancies have been recorded in Ghana following the 3-week partial lockdown instigated by the president in order to curb the rapid spread of the deadly Coronavirus.

According to the National Population Council, the lockdown has increased the number of pregnancies in Ghana within the last 3 weeks.

Speaking on TV3’s Pandemic show, the Executive Director of the National Population Council, Dr. Leticia Adelaide Appiah made this known.

She confirmed that over 9,000 unwanted pregnancies have been recorded due to the three weeks lockdown in some parts of the country.

Meanwhile, per the last update, Ghana’s Coronavirus cases are now 1671 with 16 death and 188 recoveries, the partial lockdown that was being observed has been lifted.
