Kojo Preko Dankwa Resigns as Acting Communication Director of Creative Arts Federation of Ghana

Media personality and creative arts advocate, Kojo Preko Dankwa, has announced his resignation from his position as the Acting Communication Director of the Creative Arts Federation of Ghana, citing increasing professional responsibilities as the reason for his decision.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Mr. Dankwa indicated that his new role as the host of Kessben Maakye, the morning show on Kessben 92.9 FM, coupled with other pressing duties within the Foundation of Concerned Arts Professionals (FOCAP), of which he is President, necessitated his departure from the Federation.

“This has become necessary due to my new role as the host of Kessben Maakye and other professional tasks, including the new developments regarding FOCAP,” he stated. “I wish the Federation well in all its endeavours.”

Mr. Dankwa, who has, over the years, established himself as a leading voice in Ghana’s creative arts landscape, expressed his appreciation to the Federation for the opportunity to serve. He also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to contribute to the growth and development of the creative industry through other platforms.

Throughout his tenure, Kojo Preko played an instrumental role in bridging communication gaps between stakeholders in the creative space while actively championing the welfare of Ghanaian artists and cultural practitioners.

Kojo Preko Dankwa continues to hold key roles in media and arts advocacy, including his leadership position at FOCAP and his work at Kessben Media. His transition reflects a continued dedication to influencing policy, supporting creative talents, and using media as a tool to elevate national discourse around the arts.
