[VIDEO] Darkness and Danger: Kojo Preko Dankwa Raises Alarm on Aburi-Peduase Road
Media personality and President of the Foundation for Concerned Arts Professionals (FOCAP), Kojo Preko Dankwa, who also doubles as the morning show host of Kessben Maakye, has expressed his frustration over the non-functioning street lights along the Aburi-Peduase road.
In a video sighted by KPDONLINE.NET, the astute broadcaster could not hide his disappointment, as he passionately called on the Ghana Highways Authority to urgently address the issue. He emphasized the need for immediate action to ensure the safety of commuters and prevent potential accidents on the dark stretch of road.
“This is unacceptable. How can such an important road be left in complete darkness?” he questioned. “This is not just about convenience, it’s about safety and lives.”
Kojo Preko Dankwa called on the Ghana Highways Authority and other relevant authorities to immediately address the situation, stating that the road’s condition poses a high risk for accidents and criminal activity, especially at night.
The Aburi-Peduase road, a key route connecting parts of the Eastern Region to Accra, has long been regarded as a scenic and vital passage for travellers, tourists, and residents. However, the lack of functioning street lights has turned the road into a source of concern for many road users.
Dankwa, who is known for his strong advocacy on national issues, urged authorities not to wait for disasters to strike before taking action.
“This is a ticking time bomb. Fix it now,” he added.
