19 Year-old Ghanaian Singer Herman Suede Announces his Return with a 4 Track EP dubbed “BITTER SWEET”
The young singer-songwriter has been consistently building an outstanding catalogue of work over the past few years, following his appearance on @Sarkodie Black Love album on “WOMBA” and solo concert “After Prep” in 2019.
In 2020, Herman has released the feel-good song FREE, singing about his yearning to be free to express himself freely in Society.
Following this release, Herman delivered STAR, where he sings about the difficulty he personally faces and wonders what it takes to make it to the top as an artist. Herman then reached out further into Africa and artfully blended East and West African sounds with “MEDAWASE”, a collaboration with Ugandan artist Naavio. In his final showing of 2020, Herman released One by One, where he laments about love and his desire to display his love and affection towards his partner one step at a time.
Following the success of his single “One by One” in October 2020, Herman will now make use of his swooning lyrics and vivid vocal delivery to contemplate the different facets of love within a single concise body of work. BITTER SWEET is a contemplation of the different stages of a relationships, lamenting over the pursuit, maintenance, display, and eventual loss of Love.
The EP will consist of 4 songs and One By One as a bonus track. Each song in the EP displays its own individual angle of observing relationships, incorporating sounds and rhythms from Hip Hop, Afrobeats, and R&B to truly bring the project to life. Producers such as Shadxw, and Ransom Beatz brought their ingenious instrumentals to further animate this EP into an accurate picture of how Bitter Sweet love truly can be.
