Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi Congratulates Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie on Election as AU Chairperson for Youth, Sports and Culture

The Founding President of PanAfrica-Ghana (PAG) and musician, Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, has congratulated Hon. Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie following her unanimous election as Chairperson of the African Union Specialised Technical Committee (STC) on Youth, Sports and Culture.

In a statement, Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Hon. Gomashie’s long-standing commitment to youth empowerment, cultural development, and the creative arts, both in Ghana and across the African continent.

According to him, her election reflects the confidence reposed in her leadership by fellow ministers and technical experts from AU Member States, and highlights Ghana’s growing influence in continental cultural and youth policy discourse.

“This achievement is a testament to Hon. Gomashie’s tireless efforts in promoting culture, youth development, and the creative industries. The African Union Specialised Technical Committee on Youth, Sports and Culture plays a strategic role in developing and coordinating policies that advance Africa’s youth agenda, promote sports as a tool for development, and safeguard the continent’s diverse cultural heritage. The Committee’s work is closely aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, which places youth and culture at the centre of Africa’s long-term development vision.

He also reaffirmed PanAfrica-Ghana’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote African unity, cultural diplomacy, and youth empowerment under her leadership.
