PNC Demands GH¢100k from Flagbearer Aspirants as Filing Fee

In an exciting development for the People’s National Convention (PNC), the party is gearing up for its internal elections, set to take place nationwide in the upcoming months.

The regional elections are scheduled to unfold from January 15 to 31, 2024, with the national elections following on March 2, and the presidential elections culminating on March 24, 2024.

Potential candidates eyeing key positions within the party are encouraged to obtain their nomination forms from regional and national offices starting January 4, 2024. The party, in a statement released on January 2, also outlined the filing fees for various positions.

Flagbearer hopefuls will need to invest GH¢100,000, showcasing the significance and commitment required for this pivotal role.

The positions of vice-chairperson and general secretary carry a filing fee of GH¢25,000 each, underlining the competitive nature of these leadership roles.

Aspirants vying for the national organizer position are required to pay GH¢15,000, reflecting the importance of organizational skills within the party structure.

The presidential candidature comes with a hefty fee of GH¢100,000, while the national chairperson position demands GH¢35,000.

Additionally, the filing fees for the vice-chairperson and general secretary positions remain at GH¢25,000, while aspirants for the national organizer, national women’s organizer, national treasurer, and national youth organizer positions will each need to pay GH¢10,000. Deputy positions in the national elections come with a more accessible GH¢5,000 fee for aspirants.
