Maame serwaa Aboagye called to the Ghana Bar: A Celebration of Dedication and Excellence

The journey of becoming a lawyer is one marked by hard work, resilience, and an unyielding commitment to justice and for Miss Maame Serwaa Aboagye, that dream has finally become a reality. On 10th October 2025, she officially joined the ranks of Ghana’s distinguished legal professionals after being called to the Bar by the General Legal Council under the auspices of the Ghana Bar Association.

 

Born in 1996, Serwaa’s story is one of determination, perseverance, and purpose. She began her academic journey at Mount Olivet Basic School, Kumasi. where her passion for learning and leadership began to shine. She continued to St. Louis Senior High School, one of Ghana’s premier girls’ schools, where she built a reputation for discipline and academic excellence.

 

Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Ghana, Legon, where she developed a keen interest in governance, policy, and the intersection of law and society. Not one to rest on her laurels, Serwaa went on to earn a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the Ghana School of Law, Makola, A key step toward her legal ambitions.

Serwaa’s call to the Bar is not just a personal milestone but also a moment of pride for her family, friends, and mentors who have supported her journey. especially her father, Mr Thomas Kwaku Aboagye. She hails from a close-knit family of five siblings: Goodman, Nana Ama, Omono Asamoah, and Nana Osei, who have been her pillars of encouragement through the demanding years of study and training.

 

As she officially dons the robe and wig, Miss Serwaa Aboagye steps into the next phase of her professional life ready to serve with integrity, advocate for justice, and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s legal and civic landscape. Her story serves as an inspiration to young women across the nation who aspire to break barriers and make their mark in the legal profession.

 

Indeed, her call to the Bar is not just a celebration of academic success, but a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of vision.
