London Announced as Venue for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2024

London is set to host the prestigious eighth edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards™ in 2023, with the ceremony scheduled for January 15, 2024.

The city, known for its passionate football culture, will welcome members of the global football family to honor outstanding individuals in the world’s most popular sport.

This marks the third occasion that FIFA has chosen London as the venue for The Best FIFA Football Awards, having previously hosted the ceremonies in 2016 and 2017. The upcoming event will recognize the planet’s top players, coaches, fans, goals, and acts of fair play.

The nominees for eight award categories were unveiled in September 2023, with an international jury consisting of national team coaches, captains, specialist journalists, and fans participating in the selection process.

Over one million fan votes from around the world were recorded, with each of the four voting groups carrying equal weight in the final decision.

The ceremony will feature the presentation of eleven awards, including The Best FIFA Women’s Player, The Best FIFA Men’s Player, The Best FIFA Women’s Coach, The Best FIFA Men’s Coach, The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper, The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper, FIFA Puskás Award (best goal of the year), FIFA Fan Award, FIFA Fair Play Award, and more.

The qualifying period for the women’s awards spans from August 1, 2022, to August 20, 2023, coinciding with the FIFA Women’s World Cup Final. For the men’s awards, the qualifying period is from December 19, 2022, to August 20, 2023.

The announcement of finalists for key award categories will be made in the coming weeks, building anticipation for the grand ceremony that will celebrate the best in football worldwide.
