I have the strategies for the cedis depreciation, contact me – Business Analyst

The depreciation of the cedis against the dollar seems not to be a problem to the government alone, but the citizens in general.

Looking at the rate the Dollar is moving, it clear the Government cannot do anything for the cedis to come head to head or even closer to the Ghana cedis. Many people keep  jabbing and throwing shades at the Government especially the vice president to do something about it. They have applied tremendous strategies but from the look of things it seems their efforts is yielding no results.

As it stands, the dollar rate equivalent to the Ghana cedis is 5.20p making the cedis loose it value especially on the world market.

Well, observing as a citizen not a spectator, renowned Global Business Analyst and entrepreneur Mark Akoto-Senaman have pen down some strategies on his LinkedIn page spotted by enewsghana.com to help curb the problem of the cedis depreciation.

He writes:

“STRATEGIES FOR THE CEDI DEPRECIATION

We have been told that the cedis depreciates as a result of high importation of goods and services. This can be controlled and this is what must be done.

1. Identify top 10 imported commodities which can be produced locally and support 10 local industries to have capacities to produce to meet international standards and to meet the local demand.

2. Increasing import duties on those commodities might not work therefore strive to make the locally produced commodities available on the market.

3. Make it very easy for local producers to export their product to attract more foreign currency into the country. 4. Contact me for the rest. Thank you.
