The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), has held a stakeholder engagement with leading figures from Ghana’s comedy industry to explore the role of the creative arts in shaping cultural identity and driving national development.

The meeting, which took place yesterday, brought together celebrated comedians including Lekzy DC, Foster Romanus, and Albert Bondah. The personalities shared insights on how comedy and performance can be leveraged as powerful tools for sparking dialogue on pressing social and cultural issues.

Hon. Sam George underscored the importance of promoting Ghanaian cultural values through education, with a particular emphasis on prioritising local languages in schools across the Greater Accra Region. According to him, cultural identity is best reinforced through practical steps such as language teaching rather than symbolic gestures.

The comedians expressed their appreciation to the Minister for creating a platform for dialogue and invited him to their upcoming comedy special, FBI, scheduled for September 27, 2025.
