Harmattan Tears Someone’s GHC 200 Note

The harsh nature of this year’s harmattan has got a young man’s Ghc 200 note torn yesterday as he wanted to tender it for a service this morning.

Photo of the torn note has gone viral on social media with people expressing how it’ll feel like to have money of such high denomination getting torn.

We’re in the harmattan season now so anything paper-like is super dry, hence, any least mistake would make it tear.

This leaves many people asking if they can use their money when it is torn.

Any Ghana Cedi note can be used is if a corner is missing. If it’s ripped into two pieces, you can tape them back together and take the bill to a bank, where they will make sure the serial numbers on both sides of the note match and give you a new one. As long as three-quarters of a bill are intact, you can exchange it for a whole bill.
