Gov’t Is Imposing Tax On Petrol To Recover Money Given To EC For Needless Procurement – Franklin Cudjoe

Founding President of Imani Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has said that government is imposing a tax on petrol to recoup some money given to the Electoral Commission to procure some biometric devices ahead of the 2020 elections.

According to Mr Cudjoe, an amount of GHS 900 million was given to the Electoral Commission to fraudulently procure needless biometric devices before the 2020 elections, and citizens are now being made to pay.

Mr Cudjoe and Imani Africa have been one of the fiercest critics of the Electoral Commission.
