Ghanaian female coach Mavis Appiah appointed head coach in Canada

Ghanaian female coach Mavis Anane Appiah has been appointed the head coach of the U16 side of Canadian side Ostec Academy, FootballMadeInGhana.com

Mavis, 27, was appointed the head coach of the U16 male side of the Ostec Academy on Tuesday after spending some time with the team.

The young but intelligent gaffer was until the truncation of the Ghanaian football season, the head coach of DC United, a Division One side in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.

With a CAF License B and a Degree in Coaching Education from the University of Education, Winneba, Mavis is expected to prepare the young players for promising future exploits.

The ambitious young trainer who handled BA United before joining DC United is not only making herself proud through perseverance in the game but also lifting the flag of Ghana high in Canada as he becomes the first female Ghanaian gaffer to be handed aside in Canada.

FootballMadeInGhana understands that Mavis is was handed the job after her impressive outings with the side in her short stay with them in Canada.

The impressive career strides of the young female gaffer encourage more females who are interested in the profession to work harder as she keeps inspiring others.
