Court Forces Nana Ama McBrown To Testify In Bulldog Case Even Though Supreme Court Ruled a Witness Cannot Be Forced to Testify

Popular actress, and host of United Showbiz on UTV, Nana Ama McBrown has completed her testimony in the trial against Bulldog of Bullhaus Entertainment for comments he made about President Akufo-Addo.

Bulldog is standing trial for comments he made against the President which has been deemed to be threats.

Nana Ama McBrown, who was listed by the prosecution to testify in the matter, initially declined to testify.

However, she was compelled by the Court to testify and has completed her testimony today.

This order by the court appears to be in conflict with an order of the Supreme Court which averred that a witness cannot be forced to testify against their wishes after lead counsel for the petitioner in the 2020 petition, Tsatsu Tsikata had sought to invoke the court’s authority to compel the chairperson of the EC, Jean Mensa to testify.
