Bukom Buzzes with Baskets: International Basketball Matchup Graces Ghana’s Arena

In a dazzling display of skill and philanthropy, charity organization “Who’s Got Game” orchestrated a star-studded celebrity basketball game at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
The brainchild of former basketball player Dayo Okewale, the event aimed to raise funds for charitable causes through the universal language of basketball.
The Bukom Boxing Arena transformed into a court of dreams as talented basketball players from Ghana and the diaspora showcased their prowess in an exhibition game that left spectators in awe.
Among the audience were international celebrities, with the likes of Michael Blackson, Reggie Rock Stone, Fuse ODJ, Majid Michel, Michael Dapaah, Ayo Beatz, and others gracing the event.
Nicholas Kodjoe, son of Hollywood star Boris Kodjoe and a skilled basketball player himself, shared words of wisdom with aspiring Ghanaian talents, “Just keep working.
You never know what’s going to happen, so you must keep your head down and keep working, and it will pay off in one way or another. Stick to it.”
Founded by Dayo Okewale, “Who’s Got Game” is an innovative sports charity dedicated to leveraging basketball as a catalyst for social change and development.
