Begoro Homecoming Celebration Scheduled for December 14–21
The people of Begoro in the Eastern Region are gearing up for a grand celebration as the much-anticipated Begoro Homecoming Festival has been officially scheduled for December 14th to December 21st, 2025.
This year’s edition promises to be a vibrant, week-long event, bringing together indigenes, residents, and friends of Begoro from across Ghana and the diaspora. The celebration aims to rekindle the community spirit, strengthen cultural identity, and mobilise support for local development initiatives.
According to the organising committee, the 2025 Begoro Homecoming will feature a rich lineup of activities, including a float through the principal streets, musical performances, sporting events, a business and investment fair, and a grand durbar of chiefs and people. There will also be a special youth empowerment seminar and a Thanksgiving service to close the festivities.
Highlighting the event, organisers emphasised that the festival is not only a time of reunion and celebration but also an opportunity to highlight Begoro’s tourism potential and encourage development partnerships. “Begoro has a rich history, vibrant culture, and promising human capital. The Homecoming is our way of celebrating who we are and charting a collective path for the future.
Over the years, the Begoro Homecoming has grown into a key social and cultural event on the local calendar, drawing visitors and dignitaries who come to experience the warmth, music, and unity of the community.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars and prepare for a week filled with culture, entertainment, and togetherness under the theme “Reunite and relieve Begoro to ignite patriotism, volunteerism and passion for the well-being and development of our hometown.
