Afia Ayiwah Chooses Music Over Banking Job

In a bold and inspiring move, Afia Ayiwah, a talented Gospel musician, and aspiring artiste, has made the decision to forgo a promising banking career to pursue her true passion for music. This choice has not only captured the attention of her family but has also sparked conversations about the importance of following one’s dreams in a world often driven by conventional career paths.
Afia Ayiwah in a conversation with Hitz FM’s Doreen Avio on “Day Break Hitz” revealed that music has always been part of her and music came before the banking job. After years of contemplation, she realized that her heart lay in music. “Music is in our family and my mum has always supported me and my sisters. She’s always happy whenever she hears us sing. She even bought us tapes to help us learn some of the lyrics of the songs we sing”, she started.
According to Afia, the journey into the music scene started at a young age. She started writing her own song at age 11. Growing up, she participated in school choirs and even formed a group with her sisters “Fire Sisters” and they used to go from one Church to the other to perform. So all these past events and the love she has for music strengthened her to bounce back as a full-time Gospel artiste reason why she laid down the banking job.
The decision to leave a secure job for an uncertain future in music is not without its challenges. But she believed with the help of God and her new management “Media Excel Productions” she would surely have a breakthrough. Afia Ayiwah’s new single, “Jesus Reigns” is out now with colorful and catchy visuals. It’s on all platforms. Stream it to help her achieve her dreams.
