PUZZLED  screened at UN Women’s Conference

New Ghanaian TV series Puzzled, that shows on Ghana’s number one entertainment and multiple award-winning TV Channel, Joy Prime was screened at the on-going 63rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The conference started on March 11 and will end on March 22.

PUZZLED was screened in a session dubbed: “Innovative ways of translating social protection policies: Safeguarding the rights of PWDS and their access to social protection systems” on Wednesday, March 20 at 801, 1st Avenue, UN Civil Society Resource Centre in a three-hour session.

PUZZLED, an initiative of Youth Bridge Foundation, with technical input from the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social protection unveils the spoken and the unspoken realities of the various social protection challenges prevalent in Ghana and most African countries and is funded by OSIWA under its Access to Justice Project.

The Executive Director of Youth Bridge Foundation, Seth Oteng disclosed that “the UN Screening for PUZZLED will open up the conversation on social protection to the appropriate persons in need and also educate the public on how to access justice with the increased awareness and increased capacity through the series.

“It is our desire that this capacity will be used within the appropriate environment for the betterment of the citizens,” Oteng reiterated

Puzzled features the award-winning actress, Lydia Forson, who played the lead character; a human rights activist, Korkor Cofie. She is seen as society’s definition of a successful advocate – brilliant, charismatic, charming, elegant and passionate.

Aside Lydia Forson, it also features Imoh Eboh, Maame Serwaa, David Muchilee, Naa Koshie Lamptey, Louisa Ankrah, Philip Addoquaye, Gideon K. Appiah, Susan Musa A and Lord Mensah.

Puzzled TV series airs on Joy Prime on Saturdays at 4:30 pm and repeated on Tuesdays at 10 am. Joy Prime is on DSTV Channel 281 and all digital televisions.
