Odonkor appointed new sporting director of Eskisehirspor

Former German international of Ghanaian descent David Odonkor has been named as the new sporting director of Turkish second-tier side Eski?ehirspor.

Odonkor, 34, joins the Star of Anatolia from Tus Dornberg where he extended his stay as head coach in January this year but decided to leave when the Turkish offer came.

Eskisehirspor are bent on qualifying to the Superlig this season and Odonkor will also act as an associate coach for the club.

Odonkor, who retired in 2013 due to injuries, was part of the German team which reached the semi finals in the 2006 World Cup.
