Leadership of NaBCo recruits unhappy over low turn out at demo

Leaders of the Coalition of Nation Builders’ Corps (NABCO) Trainees have expressed disappointment over the failure of their members to show up for a planned demonstration earlier today.

The group was expected to march from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange to the Jubilee House in protest over the non-payment of their allowances for several months.

However, hours after the scheduled start time, only about a dozen out of the expected one thousand trainees, turned up at the meeting point.

A clearly dissatisfied and angry President for the coalition, Nana Barimah Asamoah, spoke to Citi News.

“To the trainees, I am telling them the cowards will always go hungry…I was expecting thousands of trainees to avail themselves but if you try to politicize this issue by the mischief peddling around that the leadership of the Coalition is trying to sabotage this initiative and because of your political affiliation you continue to suffer in pain then it is your own dilemma.”

The trainees are demanding that the payment of their allowances is regularized as the irregular payment has left many of them highly indebted.

The Nation Builders Corp (NABCo) is a stop-gap measure by the Akufo-Addo government to address graduate unemployment.
