Kweku Baako is Alive Today Because of Rawlings – Close Friend Reveals

Former President Jerry John Rawlings saved veteran journalist, Kweku Baako, from being murdered by soldiers, close friend of the late president, Riad Hosiefe has said.

According to Mr Hosiefe, Kweku Baako’s crime was that he was overly critical of Rawlings and even called him a ‘bastard’.

Out of anger, he(Riad Hosiefe) together with other soldiers planned to end his life however, Rawlings intercepted the plan and warned them to stay away.

“Rawlings said if anything should happen to Kweku Baako, he will hold us responsible so we stopped. Kwaku Baako owes his life to Rawlings,” Mr Hosiefe told Asempa FM.
