Kamaldeen Sulemana Joins Southampton On A Lucrative Four-And-A-Half-Year Contract
After passing his medical in France, Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana has signed a lucrative four-and-a-half-year contract with English Premiership team Southampton, also known as the Saints.
According to information that has reached us, the Saints signed the player for a club-record fee of €25 million for a 4.5-year contract.
The Black Stars team that represented Ghana at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup included Kamaldeen Sulemana, who was included from Rennes in France.
After the two clubs reached an agreement with Rennes, Sulemana was forced to choose between Southampton and Everton.
He decided on Southampton, where he will play alongside his Ghanaian teammate, defender Mohammed Salisu.
For an estimated €20 million, Sulemana transferred from the Danish club Nordsjaelland to Rennes in 2021.
Sulemana made three appearances at the World Cup in Qatar and set the record for the fastest player during the competition by running at 35.7 kph (22.2mph).
