“I Will Never Accept An Ambassadorial Deal With A Betting Company” – Joe Mettle
Multiple award-winning gospel musician, Joe Mettle has set the records by stating he will never accept any ambassadorial deal with a betting company.
According to him, no amount of money and pressure would make turn his back on his Christian principles to advertise for a betting company.
“It’s a straight no for me. You need to know where to draw the lines,” he said.
In an interview with Hitz FM, Joe Mettle explained that “you need to know where you really stand and what to work on, and what will not work for you. As I said, I’m first a minister of God before I am a musician“.
“I happen to be a minister of God who is gifted with the ability to sing. And so my first assignment is my service to God, and so he expects certain things from me,” he emphasized during the radio interview.

The gospel singer was asked to share his opinion on Celestine Donkor disclosing that she had a proposal from a betting company requesting to do business with her.
Confused Celestine Donkor quizzed that she would know the Christian community would react if she goes ahead and accept the business proposal from the betting company.
She wrote: “Hmmm, PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ME” as she posted a screenshot with a message that reads “A FOREIGN BETTING COMPANY, they Like my numbers and want me to advertise for them on my pages for the cool amount stated below”.
“Question is, Should I accept? To be honest, It’s not easy to be a gospel artiste. It is so difficult to get sponsorship and investment deals….This is not because we don’t have the numbers.
“In this current harsh economy, this money would help a lot to push my ministry, But, How would the Christian community react if a gospel musician is chosen as an ambassador for a betting company or an alcoholic beverage?” she quizzed.
