Gideon Nii Aryeequaye Critiques Gyankroma Akuffo Addo for Missed Opportunities at the Creative Arts Agency

In a recent interview with media personality Kojo Preko Dankwa on KessBen Entertainment via Kessben 92.2 FM/TV, Hon. Gideon Nii Aryeequaye, the newly appointed CEO of the Creative Arts Agency, criticized former CEO Gyankroman Akuffo Addo for failing to capitalize on significant opportunities during her tenure.

Hon. Aryeequaye expressed frustration over the resources and influence available to Gyankromah Akuffo Addo, which he believes she did not fully utilize to advance the creative arts sector.

He narrates that, as the president’s daughter, she had unique access to support and could have made impactful changes within the agency. “She had everything at her disposal to ensure the Creative Arts Agency operated effectively,” he stated.

“I don’t understand why she did not leverage her position to promote the agency’s interests but rather inflict on her interest” he fumed.

Gideon’s appointment as the C.E.O of the Creative Arts Agency is a strategic move to drive the implementation of the government’s ambitious Black Star Experience, an initiative aimed at revitalising Ghana’s cultural, arts, and tourism sectors.

He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having played an instrumental part in shaping Ghana’s tourism landscape.

As the Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), he was a key figure in promoting and developing tourism initiatives across Ghana.

His tenure at the GTDC saw a transformation in the promotion of Ghana’s tourism sector, leading to an increase in domestic and international interest in Ghana as a prime travel destination.

Aryeequaye has also been actively involved in media and communications, leveraging his extensive knowledge of public relations and marketing to boost the visibility of Ghana’s cultural heritage and tourism assets.
