Foundation of Creative Arts Professionals President, Mr Kojo Preko Dankwah in an interview on Neat 100.9fm Wednesday 7th August with Ola Michael stated emphatically that President Nana Akuffo Addo is turning Creative Arts Practitioners into Criminals by not Inaugurating the BOARD of the Creative Arts Agency per the law.

Kojo Preko Dankwah in his submission made reference to Section 33 of Act 1048 which was passed in 2020 and categorically states that after one year of its passage any Creative Arts Practitioner who is not registered with the Agency will be sent to Jail for 2years and we’re in 2024 which makes it 4 clear years after the passage of this law.

Fact is without this BOARD the Creative Arts Agency cannot register these enterprises and this obviously will affect the development of the industry.

FOCAP has chided the President to remove or appoint his daughter or a more competent Executive Secretary and properly inaugurate the Board in order to rectify this anomaly since it doesn’t speak well of his high office as a President and his profession as a Lawyer.
