Sadio Mane Expresses His Happiness At Having signed For Cristiano Ronaldo’s Team

Sadio Mane, the acclaimed Senegalese striker, has expressed his excitement after signing with Al Nassr in the Saudi league.

Mane, who has become a prominent name in football, revealed in an interview that he had made a carefully considered decision, turning down the appeals of his former Liverpool teammates, Roberto Firmino and Fabinho, in favor of joining Al Nassr.

In his own words, Mane shared, “I spoke with (Roberto) Firmino for sure. He wanted me to come to the wrong club! I’m joking! He called me two or three times to convince me to come to Al Ahli because I had contact with them from the beginning. But, in this time when Al Nassr come then I chose Al Nassr.”

While both Firmino from Al Ahli and Fabinho from Al-Ittihad endeavored to sway Mane towards their teams, the Senegalese forward ultimately succumbed to the appeal of teaming up with none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, a proposition he found too alluring to resist.

Mane further added, “Of course, (Jordan) Henderson is also here. He sent me a message two days ago to wish me good luck with my team and I’m really, really excited to meet all of these great guys and also out on the pitch to face each other for the first time and hopefully I am going to win against you guys!”

Having departed from Bayern Munich following a season marked by challenges, including injury setbacks and suspensions, Mane is now enthusiastic about his involvement with Al Nassr.

He remarked, “Really, really happy to be part of this project and to make sure this league becomes one of the best, for sure. I think if you see how they work on it and how they are doing their best to bring all these great players, I think you can see how ambitious they are.”

Mane’s new teammates at Al Nassr include football luminaries such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Alex Telles, Marcelo Brozović, and David Ospina. With his impressive record and a fresh chapter in his career, Mane’s presence in the Saudi league is anticipated to be a game-changer.
