Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly Orders John Dumelo To Stop Dredging Gutters In The Municipality

On the 10th of June, 2020, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party Parliamentary Candidate for the Ayawoso Constituency, John Dumelo fulfilled kept his promise the constituents of West Legon by dredging gutters in the community to forestall flooding whenever it rains in the area.

Apparently, the kind gesture was not only appreciated by constituency members but was greatly appreciated the rest of well-meaning Ghanaians since the people in that area always suffer the woes of flooding annually every rainy season.

He was especially praised for doing what governments promise but never deliver to the people.

However, fast forward to yesterday the 16th of June, 2020, the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly ordered the Parliamentary Candidate, John Dumelo to stop work on the dredging of gutters in the municipality.

According to the Assembly, John Dumelo did not seek permission from them [Municipal Assembly] before carrying out work on the dredging of gutters, therefore they called on him to stop work immediately.

Ghanaians not understanding why a good act of that nature to save lives and properties would be stoped by the government, who is supposed to be the one helping the citizens.
