2023 Kenkey Festival Scheduled For March 4th

The acclaimed annual Kenkey Festival’s organizers have made the date and location of the 2023 edition official announcements.

The event is scheduled to start on March 4 at the Mantse Agbonaa in James Town, which is where the Greater Accra Region’s famous Lighthouse is located.

The event, now in its sixth iteration, has been going on for eight years, but there was a two-year delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the limitations that followed it.

As a result, this year’s version has been dubbed the “comeback edition” by the organizers, who intend to stage the most thrilling episode to make up for the enjoyment that was lost in 2020.

In a conversation with journalist and blogger Attractive Mustapha, the team leader and founder of the event, Manuel Mensah, reiterated this and talked about how far the event has progressed in the last seven years to become known as a household name in the nation’s culinary tourism industry.

“Being the last outdoor event in Ghana before COVID-19’s outbreak, attendees should expect nothing but the best of food from the best vendors, the best music and entertainment as we always do” he pointed out.
